Formulating tip: Melt GMS in the oil phase at 70–75°C together with fatty alcohols, add the hot water phase while stirring, then homogenise and cool. Choose the AS grade when your cream contains AHAs, vitamin C or other low-pH actives; SE alone can thin out below pH ~5.5.
